How to Set Up Frontier Yahoo Mail Account on Outlook?

Steps to Set Up Frontier Yahoo Mail on Outlook Email Program

  1. Launch Outlook program, select the File tab and go to the Info option.
  2. Under the Info section, you will need to select Account Settings > Account Settings in the drop-down. Then, on the Email tab, you will need to select the New
  3. In the Add New Account dialog box, you will need to configure the new email account by selecting the Manual setup or additional server types option and clicking Next.

    • Go to the Incoming mail server box and enter the name of the server in the relevant field (lowercase letters). Here, you will need to enter “frontier.com “.

NOTE: Sometimes, the name may also in the form of an IP address, such as 179.1.12.0.0.

  • Next, you will need to go to the Outgoing mail server (SMTP)box, enter the name of the outgoing email server in the relevant field (lowercase letters) - ” frontier.com“.

NOTE: Sometimes, the name may also be in the form of an IP address, such as 172.1.12.0.0.

  1. Then, Under Logon Information, you will need to configure the following settings:
    • Go to the User Name box, enter your user name.

NOTE: The user name is generally the part of your email address before the “@” symbol. As some ISPs require the complete email address, you may need to contact your ISP for correct information.

  • Go to the Password box and enter the password that your ISP would have provided you.

NOTE: If you wish to make Outlook remember your email account password, you will need to select the checkbox next to the Remember password.

  1. You will need to select the checkbox next to “Require logon by using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)” if your ISP requires it. Selecting this checkbox will allow you to log on by using Secure Password Authentication.
  2. After that, you will need to choose the Test Account Settings As you will select this option, you will find the following process occurring on your screen:
    • You are logged on to the SMTP server.
    • You are logged on to the POP3 server.
    • The connection of your system to the Internet will be confirmed.
    • Outlook will automatically set the Log on to incoming mail server before sending mail option if the POP3 server must be logged on to first.
    • Finally, a Test Message will be sent which will explain the changes that Outlook made to the initial configuration.

After that, simply click on the Next button and then on the Finish button to complete the process.
